SOP for Mikrotik Router and installation

MikroTik RouterOS is the working course of action of MikroTik RouterBOARD hardware. SOP for resetting the Mikrotik router.

1.Take the picture of the current deafult settings. Pull out one of the cable from the router, connect it to the laptop.
2.Slide down the touchpad to the bottom and select ‘Reset Configuration’.
3.Press the Password : 1234 and then the enter button.

7.Now, just pull out the network cable from the router and laptop and put the wires back to default as it was before and then check through the network only.
8.In the ‘Winbox’, login using those credentials.
9.Click on the ‘Files’.
10.Then choose the latest file and press on ‘Restore’.
11.Password for AR is ‘Welcome1’ and for BR is ‘Asdf1’.Enter it and press ‘Restore’.
12.The dialog box for confirmation of restore and reboot appears. Press ‘Yes’.
13.After rebooting that login to winbox using ‘evit’ as login and ‘Asdf1’ as password and then press ‘connect’.
14.Then go to IP->Routes
15.Check the settings if it’s the same as this one. In this one the lowest number in the ‘Distance’ column gets the highest priority so put ‘Bypass’ first and then the ‘Public’ ones.
16.If not the same settings, change it from this one.
